Welcome!

Hi and welcome to Decker Apiaries. We are a new honeybee business in Michigan. While we are a new business we have been keeping bees as a hobby for more than 12 years. The business came about when a historic nursery said they would be interested in having hives on their property. Then another friend was interested in having hives, then another friend…  before we knew it, we had a honeybee business. We are treatment free beekeepers, we are passionate about not using chemicals in our hives. We will go into our plan for maintaining treatment free in a future post. We want to share our journey with you. So pick your favorite medium: our web blog, social media, YouTube, and follow along. There is no doubt we will have mishaps and misfortunes but hopefully our successes will outweigh them. We are a family business with the kids and grandkids helping out.
